Cooking on a Budget:
  Starting on 12th September:
Tuesday 9.30am to 12.30pm

Learn how to make low cost foods.
Eat your cooked food at the centre,
take home or donate to our foodbank.

• Different ways of cooking.
• Reduce food waste.
• Basic health and Hygiene.
• A chance to share cooking ideas.

*NB if staff/volunteers are not available then the centre or/and gardens may be closed.

*The centre may be closed when grass is cut or other private functions like school visits and parties.

The Keyham Green Places Community Centre is situated at the heart of the Keyham community, surrounded by its own gardens and horticultural growing area.   Although we support a wide range of events and activities, we also place a strong emphasis on promoting the natural environment.  The Centre is managed by members of the local community through Community Regeneration Outreach Projects (CROPS) which is a charity.

Our mission is to develop educational, recreational and social activities that will enhance quality of life and social cohesion within the Keyham neighbourhood and to promote a sense of community amongst local people.

What can the Keyham Green Places Centre offer you?

Within the centre we have well appointed meeting rooms that are available for hire by both organisations and individual members of the community.  There is also a kitchen facility that is available to support events.

The gardens that surround the centre provide a place to relax and a safe play area for young children.  Part of the grounds is laid out as small allotments and enables the centre to provide opportunities for local people to learn horticultural skills.

We run a variety of exercise classes and activities including a social group for older people and activity sessions for children.

The centre forms the venue for a number of community wide events such as fun days and the annual bonfire night party.

Our centre manager is available to provide members of the local community with information and signposting to a wide range of services within the city.

We have two main rooms available:

Room 1 (Hall)

This room measures 9.27m x 5.96m by height 2.63m.  It can hold approximately

60 people (more or less depending if sitting, standing or exercising).

Room 2 (meeting/training room)

This room measures 6.14m x 5.18m by height 2.63m.  It can hold approximately 30 people (more or less depending if sitting or standing).

*We also have kitchen, garden, chairs and tables available.

Charges Policy

Parties room rental £20hr (minimum 3hrs) and £20 deposit payable on centre being returned as set out in terms and conditions.

*NB. When booking: advance notice of at least 2 weeks should be given to avoid disappointment.

Micro Allotment Form

We can host your party, wedding,  school prom,  baby showers and functions

As a charity we need to keep our centre open by raising money from renting out space for various functions.

If you wish to hold a party with us you won't be disappointed.  We have kitchen, toilets, a large hall and outside gardens available.  All for just £60* for 3hrs.

We do not take bookings on Sundays but do for the rest of the week, subject to availability.
